rent increase — do you need a new lease signed or is a change of terms notice sufficient?

I onw a rental house in Pomona.  I send a Notice to Change Terms of Tenancy to my renter to inform him of a rent increase.  He agreed to it and started paying the new rent amount  last month.  do we new to sign a new lease?  or is the Change notice sufficient?.  the house is located in Pomona, Califronia

You can have the Notice to Change of Terms signed by your renter and you can then attach it to your lease agreement.
