Landlord have to return security deposit ?

By Andre Yates

I am a landlord in New Jersey.  My tenant failed to signed new lease agreement and was given a 30 day notice to vacate.  The tenant vacated officially 3 days after the Notice to vacate date.  The tenant did not provide land with proper notice to vacate.  Therefore, do the landlord has to return the security deposit due to the tenant failure to provided landlord with 30 days notice. If a tenant fails to signed  lease agreement and given a notice to vacate.  The tenant moves out without given Landlord proper notice to vacate.  Do the landlord have to return security deposit.
