Security Deposit claims
By Tenant
I recently learned that my previous landlord will not be returning any of our security deposit. The claims he has made are unacceptable and down right wrong. Charging for things that were working when we used them, charging for wear and tear on the kitchen appliances. Is it worth it to file a complaint and seek a real-estate lawyer?? Or do I let it go? I hate to think another family gets gouged the same way we have. By the way the landlord was also the handyman-he did all the work and really should not. He’s charging us for labor.
