Unprofessional Landlord

By concerned tenant

I have been at the rental property for the past year and the landlord has been horrible.  After we signed the rental agreement and moved in, she told us that "this is her retirement" and that she "reserved the right" to let her self into the apt and inspect it whenever she saw fit.  We told her that this was not ok (and I believe it is infact illegal trespassing).

She has been unpleasant on the phone, and has scheduled meetings and not shown up (only calling after the 3 hour window for her visit had passed to tell us she couldn’t make it).
We have had enough, and found another apt to move into.  In the process of moving out, we are given the option to have an initial inspection of the apt with us present, to identify any issues that might require the use of our security deposit.  We requested to have the initial inspection, and agreed on a time and date.
A week before the scheduled inspection, we asked if the time could be moved from 8 am to 11 am due to issues with work.  Our landlord told us this would not be possible because she "had to leave town right after the inspection."  Thus, my girlfriend had to pay for airport parking, as I was unable to pick her up from the airport due to the inspection.
The land lord failed to apprear at 8 am on the scheduled day, and at 8:20 am I sent her a text message asking if I should still expect her.  Her response was to "check my email."
I checked my email, and it showed that she had send a request for confirmation at 4:30 pm the previous day, and then at 8:00 pm she sent an email stating that if she did not receive a response from me, she would assume we had opted out of the inspection.  I had internet connections issues and was unable to check my email, thus had not received her communication.  Regardless, she only sent me the email, when both my name and my girlfriends name are on the lease & the request form for the initial inspection.  Not only that, but the email was sent at 4:30 pm!  with a demand for a response by 5:00 am the following day!  I think this is completely unprofessional.  The landlord had both my girlfriend and my phone number, as well as both of our emails.  Yet she failed to make an attempt to call either of us, or even text us, and only sent the email to me (without copying my girlfriend, as all other communication has been handled).  I have called her to attempt to talk about this matter, and she has not responded.  I would like to know if there are any agencies or action I can take to protect my right to an initial inspection, in addition to making a formal report of her lack of professionalism and misconduct.
