we paid our deposit& 1st month rent in advance but need to back out because the place had bed bugs

We paid our deposit & 1st month rent in advance but need to back out because the place had bed bugs and we were told they were eradicated. However after signing the lease the realtor mentioned that the bugs had come back shortly after the first tretment and had to be exterminated again. Now that scared me because I did more research and found out that bed bugs are almost impossible to get rid of fully. We have two small children and the two year old has severe allergies. What can i do to get our money back?
