Who’s responsible on the car rental expenses of a renter

By Ruth

My car was damaged heavily on windshield, hood and roof when the 6o ft. , 100 years old fell on the property house and my car parked in front of the property.  I have full comprehensive insurance on my car, however there is no loaner included in my insurance policy.    The repair of my car will take at least 15 days in the repair shop due to no adjuster available during this time.   I’m afraid I will shoulder my rental expenses and a$1000.00deductible in my insurance.   The property management said they will not cover these expenses bec their car insurance policy does not cover car rental unit.  My contention is why is the landlord not liable in the personal property of the renters  especially if he owns the tree that fell on my car.
