Wireless Internet service

By

Hello,

My apartment complex provides Internet services for the tenants. It’s $20 to activate it for the year. They just switched over to
Wireless service with AT&T and are requiring that we give them the MAC ID numbers to set up the software. (the apt complex is
Doing this) they didn’t say what software or what’s going on in the paper they put in our door just that we need to provide this very
secret info to them. I have a lot of confidential info on my computer as I am military. Are they allowed to require a MAC ID number
if the Internet provider has never required that information?
