Indoor High Humidity, possible mold problem

I moved into a bottom floor apartment and it is very stuffy and smelly.  I got a indoor humidity monitor and it shows humidy as high as 59% looking online it says humidity should be below 45% to be healthy.  this place is a breeding ground for mold and such what are my rates as a renter.  Can I break my lease because I am afraid for my well being?  Can anyone please help.

Keep the windows closed when it is humid out and run a dehumidifier and you will be fine
