Laws on Carpet Replacement in Apartment Complex
By marina
We moved into a 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom apartment in May or 2009 the 2 bedrooms hall way and living/dinning room have carpeting. We are moving out in Nov of this year. What is considered "normal wear and tear" with VERY cheap carpeting? Can they charge me to replace the carpeting if there is no major damage? And how much can they charge me? Can I request the original receipt from when the carpet was installed and not pay more then that?
We recently got new management and they are very strict compared to the previous managers so I want to protect myself the best way possible, with knowledge!
