Am I a legal renter?

I live in California and am living in a moterhome owned by my cousin on his property. I pay him monthly for rent and utilities part money and part doing chores around the 10 acre property. I have been here without a written agreement since 2006. 

Based on the above, do I have the same rights are a reneter with a lease who rent an appartment?
