Broken Air Conditioner

By Linda

Live in South Florida where there temperature in the past few days has been anywhere from high 70’s to low 80’s. I have an in-wall portable air conditioner unit which has not been cooling. I informed the landlord of this on the 18th who stated the he will have it fixed. Today in now the 20th, and nothing is done. I was told by the maintenance man that it would be done today, not so. I contacted the landlord to find out what is going on, and he told me that it will be tomorrow. At this point it is quite warm in this apartment I dare not cook nothing because that’s additional heat, with no way to cool the place. It is difficult to sleep without sweating. What recourse do I have? How Long does the landlord have to correct this problem?
