Can my Landlord raise my rent 15% with 14 days notice?
By DWebber
My lease expired on 1/31/12 & converted to a month to month agreement with the same terms of the lease. I was contacted a week ago requesting that I sign a new lease. I received the new lease today, it has a start date of 6/1/13 and contains a $150 per month rental increase. Can the landlord raise my rent that much with a 14 day notice? Note that I am required to give 30 days notice to move.
