Concerned about leasing office not protecting my person info

By Erin

Leasing office is located in the upper level of a bar in uptown Denver, CO. All files are in boxes lining stairways and filling up offices. No filing cabinets, no locks. I am concerned about my personal information such as Social Security Number, employment information, etc. being mishandled and possibly stolen. Are there any laws protecting my personal information (as well as for other tenants)in regards to the inter-office business practices and record keeping?
