False noise complaints

By stephanie

We have been living here for a year now, and within the last three or four weeks our new downstairs neighbor has filed three complaints about noise. I do not know what to do because we have kids and I am a stay at home mom. My three year old i skinda loud, but only during the day and wehave a strict bedtime of 8:30 for her and 9:30 for our nine year old. I am clueless as to what to do. The apartment personnel said the neighbors can complian annonymously, but the trouble is we have no communication to defend ourselves or find out when her hours are so we can try to be quiet when she is asleep or resting. Our apartment complex is very small, so if someone is too loud, the neighbors tell each other. At least this was the case before this woman moved in. I am going to talk to my property manager, and hopefully something can be done, but I doubt it. I want to take steps to protect my family from having to move.
