help me ASAP

I am on the lease and i have already made rent payment until End of June.
During the process of getting loand motification my landlord property was sold by bank by mistake and they are in in trial. I received some written warning to move out but this landlord told me it was okay to live here until trial is over.
I am tenent who already paid and suddenly I recieved 5 day notice to vacate by sheriff today. Now landlord is saying i thought it was…and i will ask my lawyer. Is there any protection for me? what can i demand??
