I need to know my rights

Two weels ago I was late on my rent and I paid it. Then I was left with late fees of 100$ which is ok but when I went to my landlords home to pay the late rent he offered me a trade for the late fees. Sex for the $100 I was so shocked that he accually came out and said this to my face. I haven’t been able to sleep since then. So up and moved out on him. Now I’m stressed about what he’s gonna do to me for leaving. Can I leave without notice since he did that. Please help me with what I need to do to protect myself…
