have a legitimate complaint

By Teresa

I am needing to find out if i  have a legitimate complaint , I am renting a house and before i rented it the landlord told me the rent was $400 but before i moved in they raised the rent because they said they were putting more money into the house doing alot more repairs. I have been living here for 3 1/2 months and none of the repairs have been done. I keep asking when are they gonna be completed and was told they are not going to be able to do all the repairs that they told me they were gonna do. The main one is putting the garage doors up to the two car garage that I have. Im still paying storage every month because Im not able to use the garage. Can I do anything about this

I suggest you try filing a complaint here at RPA. But before you do that, you can try talking to your landlord and maybe ask about the rental increase. You maybe able to settle with non increasing of payments since you haven’t seen any changes at all. But if talking won’t work you can file a complaint here at RPA at http://www.rentalprotectionagency.com/complaint_center.php
