problem w/ landlord repair

By stacdkhouse1

I have been renting an apartment now since 4/11 a month or so into my lease we had a very bad rain storm. The rain came into my apartment via the floor ans soaked the carpet (foundation problem) its is in my master bedroom after three trys the landlord finally got a handle on the smell. Only to have the same thing happen 3 weeks later. Now 5 weeks later I still have the smell of water carpet, the wetness has mold growing on the bottom of my $200 dresser chest. I have called and called the office for them to address the issue and still nothing. I have a three year old specail needs child that shares my room with me. Can I break my lease with out them coming after me?
