Question about RPA Approval?

I’m a new landlord and have a question about getting RPA Approval status.  I just purchased a duplex and after closing my agent told me the first thing to do as a new landlord was to get approved by the RPA.  Can anyone tell me how long it takes for approval status?  I just applied now and am wondering about how long it takes thanks!

Congrats on your decision to become a landlord. I’ve been doing this for over 18 years now. When I applied for RPA Landlord Approval it seemed like the process was fairly quick. Not exactly sure but I think it took a few days. For the approval the RPA preforms a background check, which can take a couple of days. You should get your membership kit within the week.

Normally we process applications in 3 business days. So, by the 3rd day your new kit should be mailed out to you. If you have any questions feel free to contact your Approval Agent, or you can also click on the “Live Chat” customer service icon to get the most current status.

I just checked the mail and got my Approved Landlord Kit! Now I can tell my prospects with confidence that I’m RPA Approved! Once I finish this post I’m going to place the decals on my rent sign.
