Getting rid of bed bugs

What rights do I have regarding moving and reinbursment regarding Bed Bugs in a rental apartment? I notified my landlord about 2 weeks ago about this problem. He has yet to do ANYTHING for me. I have 3 young children in my home and this is becoming a very big problem. He only replyd that the cost of getting rid of bed bugs is high and they didn’t know how they would have gotten in the home. Any advice, people to contact, anyone know my rights on this issue?
