Should I or How can I file a complaint against my landlord

By Mrs W.

My landord(owner) have had 2 conflicts in the year we were their, 1 time with my husband and one time with me, my husband conflict with her was regarding the lawn we pay extra money to her to have our lawn cut twice a month which they would do like once a month their was a time that they didnt go for like 2 months and thats when my husband called to complain to her and she started screaming at him so he just hung up on her, my conflict with her was regarding a battery that the fire detector needed, when I went to rep;ace it, it did not have a battery I called to let her know and she started screaming at me so I hung up on her and she kept going on thru text. Now my lease is up and the beggining of the month I gave her my 30 day notice, her response was "Thank god" best news I have heard all day. so we went back and forth with emails and I felt that she was going to do everything she can to keep my deposit, so I told her to keep it as the last months rent, she told me that it was going to look bad on me and since I don’t want that on my credit I paid my rent, and now every chance she gets she threatens us that she will keep our deposit, yesterday she had a conflict with our neighbor, which he knows about the conflicts we have had with her by talking to my husband apperantly he told her something about she does not know how to treat her tenants, and now she is threating us again she will keep our deposit because of the conflict she had with him, I emailed her telling her that the conflict she had with him has nothing to do with us, and now she is also saying that when she shows the apartment for me not to be laying on my bed!!! What can I do??? this lady is a bully!!! and not to mention she is trying to create a conflict between us and her other tenants next door to us, not our neighbor that she had the conflict with. and also she shared the emails I send to her with her other tenant, and aswell she has bad mouth her and curse at her. Can something be done???
