Water leak and angry landlord

By Jimmy

I have had a water leak in my apartment. I live in eastlake ohio and i have just wicklife ohio and i have had some of my drywall come down in the bathroom. I have showed this to the landlord and i have just been asked to leave the unit i am in unless i can pay them 5,000 dollars they need to make the repairs. They said that i should not of have alowed it to get this bad. But how was i suposed to know that the floorboards upstairs were rotted out? The LL has threatend to take me to court if i do not pay. And will be evicted if i do not pay for it. What should i do? There is dry rot on the floorboards and i know i did not cause it.
