$315 being returned from security deposit of $1200

By Denise

We moved out Feb 2012 the lease ended end of March 2012.  We told the landlord back in November 2011 that my husband relocated due to his job.  Landlord stated we would have to pay up to Feb 2012 but didn’t have to worry about March 2012.  My husband stated that the sofaf, loveseat and chair she would leave if he wanted them.  Later she had given him a coffee table and one end table, he showed me the text.  30 days after we vacated would have been Feb 11, 2012 and she finally responded March 15, 2012.  She is charging us for cleaning, carpet cleaning, and the furniture that we took when we moved.  If my husband takes the check for $315 and deposits it, can we still file in the courts for the items that we believe to be in correct?
