problem with landlord

My landlord will not fix any problem in the house, my electirc will not work in my house, and everytime I go and toast some toast or do anything in the house that iinvolves electric I blow a fuse and I have told them and told them and they tell me that I have to wait my turn to get my electric fixed and I do not think that I should have to wait because it is not safe for me to live in house and I have 4 four kids that live here too.  What should I do??
