air conditioner question

i have a question i am a renter of an apartment the weather is very hot so i purchased a window ac i’ve had it up for a week now i’m being told the are not allowed & i need to take it down it doesn’t say we can’t have them in my lease so what do i do do i have a right to leave it up or do i have to take it down

If it’s not in your lease, so you can take this with your landlord, or also if the windows AC could be doing a lot of noise or can in further time could prove a damage to the windows, so your landlord would be saying so to you for removing the windows AC. If your landlord is not listening to you or do not give any sort of indication that he will be ok with windows ac, go ahead by taking a help from good property mediator.
