black mold problem

By angelita

I recently contacted my property management about a black mold problem through out my apt. The lady at the office told me that its ok, theres 2 different kinds of mold and its most likely the good mold that im dealing with. I looked it up myself and the only good mold is the mold used for medicine, cheese, or wine. Since im not tryna make any of these in my apt i figured the black mold was bad. All my property management did was send 2 non english speaking people to my apt to scrub the walls with dish soap. I have multiple symptoms due to the mold but dnt have insurance to got to the doctor. What can ido?

Black molds may become toxic depending on its length of existence and your exposure to it. You have done the right thing which is to contact property managers. In cases of getting harmful effects, you can try asking for insurance claims but of course it depends on the coverage. This may call for a legal action or if you want to you can go to RPA’s complaint center: http://www.rentalprotectionagency.com/complaint_center.php
