can landlord sell peoperty while tenant occupys with lease?

By emarie

So in short, I moved into a single family home and signed a rental lease for 2 years.  About 2 weeks after I moved in the land lord says he is considering short saleing the property and I can stay but he will need access to the property to show etc.  At the point that the transaction is completed he says he will give me a months free rent for my trouble.  What about the cost and distress of just moving in 2 weeeks ago and being subject to strangers viewing the house on a regularl basis.  What about the disruption to my privacy.  I noted that there is nothing in the lease stating that if he decides to sell certain conditions apply.  What are my options here.  I want my money back and I want to move out.  As I said it’s only been two weeks since I took posession!!~~!
