Carpet Question

By Whit

I’ve had some damage done to my carpets by pets, I’ll be right up front about it and take responsibility.  I’ve done some research about carpet charge in rentals.  I haven’t found anything about Oklahoma carpet laws.  I was wondering do they go by the depreciation or how does that work? I’ve lived in my current house for almost 2 years with 3 pets that my landlord DOES know about and I currently pay pet rent (I know that isn’t to go towards a deposit).

Carpet question

By steve a

Question about carpet.  I rented a house for 5 1/2 years.  The house was about a year or two old when we moved in.  The carpet over the five plus years did get bad and needs replaced.  How much of a responsibility or percentage is it on the rentee after this much time?  Is there a prorated system for the state of Ohio?  thanks for any help.
