Con Artists as Renters

By DIANE

I am so mad.  I rented to an employee at my doctor’s office.  She has broken HIPPA laws, gossiping, calling the doctor a Jew.  I should have know.  She had two kids.  I felt sorry for them.  Sold the one in college a great car for only $600.  Now I did a background check, yes a little too late, she has seven names, two DOB’s, and 17 addresses.  She paid all but $50 in November—was paying that in December, no December rent, no January rent.  I have not been to my house she rents in about 5 months her husband won’t let me in and now he has his son’s living there.  She has not paid a gas deposit and is heating with our electric raditor heaters and take the chance of burning the house down.  I told her she could catch up during tax season but i she also knew to pay me at least $200 every 2 weeks when she got paid.  Three people getting a check and they can’t afford $425.  I’ve got them on a month to month rental agreement.  I made two she never gave them back signed.  I have them.  I’m sick of this.  He got right in my personal space and said he would not be leaving for 2 months.  They’ve been this way before.  I have the receipt book.  Can I take her a letter to her work since she didn’t give me her address?  I’m afraid he will shoot us if we go up there and I fear what they will do with the house.
