did Landlord unlawfully enter home?

By Joey

in a nutshell, my landlord emailed me saying he was coming to check out the house.  This was fine, however i was leaving for vacation the day he wanted to come.  I immediatly emailed back, saying i was leaving that day, and asked if he could come in the AM.  He never replied, so i didnt know what to expect.  I went on vaction to find out that he did go in the house, when i was gone.  He gave 24 hours notice, but it was never really agreeed apon or settled before he entered.  I wanted to know if he could come earlier or latter simply so i could be in the house when he was, because all of my belongings are there.

As long as the landlord gave the notice 24 hours before, then he can enter your apartment with or without your confirmation.
