Dont know what to do

By Klaw

My boyfriend and i moved into these apartments around the 3rd week of October.  Since we have moved in (over the last 3 months) we have had to put in 2 work orders to have a few small problems fixed in my apartment.  Small things like my broken closet door (cant open) and the kitchen light that was "fixed" before we moved in but was still having problems.

Wth the first work order requested, we were told would take 3 days.  No one showed, and nothing was fixed.  The second work order we requested, they were notified about the failure to take care of the first work order, and added a few more serious problems (my stove top sparks when i use it).  Still, no one shows.  So we are getting ready to file our third work order.

About a month ago, we started to notice a sort of musky smell in the apartment.  Ive cleaned, disinfected, aired out, everything to get this smell to go away.  With no fail, it comes back within a day.  And then to top it all off, just this morning, we found a cocroach in our drawer in the kitchen.  (Im sure its from one of the other tennants, because i have never had an issue before) I contacted management to discuss both the problems with the work orders, the smell, and the cocroach, and they told me we would probably have to wait until the 13th of January to have anything done.

I honestly dont know where to go from here.  Does anyone know of anything i can do?  Should i take care of the problems myself, or is there something i can do to get the managment to take care of the cocroach problem?  Someone please help!

Wow you got lots of problem you sould have checked it before you moved in. for the dirty closet with cockroach you can just clean it. clean everything so its clean. as for the repairs, did you check your lease if there’s any info about repairs? if you think your landloard is not going to take any action please report it on rental protection agency so they can take action asap.
