Drunk drive hit apartment under lease

By mom

Apartment was hit by under-aged drunk driver Monday August 8 at 7:00am.  The apartment (condo) is under lease and red-tagged.  LL put me into a hotel. Condominium Property Manager’s General Contractor and City inspector stated repairable although red-tagged tenant the time of the accident.  Tenant is single mom and has been separated from 5 year old daughter during this time period.  LL has just served her notice of cancellation of her lease.  What are her legal rights and how can she proceed.  She is devastated.  Should she be contacting drunk driver’s insurance?
