I feel the landlord is pocketing money

I’ve been paying my monthly rent since july 2012 and as of last month i had to change writing my check from 1 check to 2 checks now. I was told there’s 2 separate accounts all of a sudden and that this is how i should be giving the monthly rent from now on. I feel that I’m being cheated and that the landlord is pocketing money. please help me.

I feel the landlord is pocketing money
