landlord wont fix but want rent!

By livnmystory

I’m a single mother of two. I found myself at a hard time and in result, I moved into a trailer. There were minor problems I over looked. I began to realize my floors were starting to get week in December. In January I had to give a notice of needed repairs (the weak spots were becoming holes under the carpet.) He signed the repair request. Meanwhile, me and my children had to move out of the home to awaiting repairs. It 2 months now I have been holding the rent. Now he comes up with a bogus lease that isn’t legal, and wants to evict me for not signing, that he not be responsible for me, my children or repairs. What do I do? Somebody lead me into the right direction.

You know you could always file a complaint.  Have you thought about that option?  To me it seems like it would make the most sense for you based on what your dealing with.  That, or be prepared to battle it out with your landlord alone!
