Lease issue

By Kevin Hoff

My lease says that the gas is covered by the property manager. I continue to receive my energy bill listing me as paying the gas, much higher in winter months.
I asked them and someone there said that they have a copy of the lease and it has a place to mark heat, not true. Even the on line ad for the place said nothing about renter paying heat.

I can try to resolve this through a lawsuit or through your organization. They also made me pay a double security deposit when I moved in in 2011., due to a low credit score. My credit score now is above what is required but they did not want to return the extra amount when my previous lease expired and I signed a new one. Is that legal?
