my apartments has rats

my name is abiona sylowe and this week i saw rats in my apartment for the first time. i called the office and two days later they have the pest control people put down one trap. myself an my son have been staying at a hotel because i dont think its safe to have us in there with rats. also there was a leak in my bed room which is connected to the bathroom  the carpet was soaked an now it smells like mold. and my land lord didnt change the carpet or clean it but instead comes in two weeks later an says your carpet isnt wet an theres no mold. without lifting up the carpet or anything.do i have a valid case with you?
