Problem with landlord repair air conditioner

By Laura

We are renting a house and the air conditioner is not cooling the house properly.  We have called the landlord several times and they have sent a guy out to look at it but he says it is blowing cold enough air to cool the house 20 degrees from the outside temp and that is all that is required to do.  But, when it is 107 outside it is at least 87 inside.  Is this right?

Hi. You have the right to let your landlord fix all the damages for the accessories on your apartment. That is including the AC. If you have approached your landlord verbally, you can write a letter. In that letter, indicate all the details of your concern. A tip is you let your landlord know how inconvenient the issue is. If the letter will not be considered, then you can file a complaint with RPA. What they can do is they will try to get the resolution you would like to have. The case will end depending on how your landlord will cooperate. :) Good luck!
