problem with lanlord repair on furnance

My furnance went out in Nov 2010 and my landlord have not fixed it yet and this has been since nov 2010 what can I do?

Hi Nell. That problem has been going on for quite sometime now. And that is not for your own good. If you have approached your landlord verbally, then next thing you can do is to write a repair request. This will give you a chance to relate your problem clearly and to point out that the issue needs to be fixed right away. You can use one effective tactic, that is to explain that the problem may become worse and more costly to him it it’s not taken care of right away. You can also emphasize that this issue already existed a couple of months ago. If this doesn’t work, then you can file a complaint through RPA (Rental Protection Agency), they can help you with that. And the least you can do is to sue your landlord. 😉
