PROBLEM WITH OWNER’S SON IN LAW

By kathy

I RENTED FROM A RENTAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PLACE, AND ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I MOVED INTO MY PLACE ABOUT 9PM ONE NIGHT THERE WAS A KNOCK ON MY DOOR, THE SON IN LAW OF THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY CAME BY TO INTRODUCED HIMSELF. WELL EVER SINCE THEN HE’S BEEN STOPPING BY EARLY IN THE MORNINGS ON THE WEEKENDS, OR IN THE EVENINGS WELL I MENTIONED TO THE RENTAL PLACE HE IS MAKING ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND I WANTED IT TO STOP ! BUT IT NEVER DID ! THEN ABOUT TWO MONTHS  AGO HE DECIDED TO FIX THIS OLE FARM HOUSE UP WELL COME TO FIND OUT HE HAD BEEN STEALINING MY UTILITIES, ELECTRICITY AND WATER RAN IT UP FOR TWO MONTHS !! I CALLED AND REALLY REALLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS THEY CALLED THE FATHER IN LAW AND IN TURN HE CALLED THE SON IN LAW AND HE GOT MAD AND CAME OUT TO MY HOUSE THREATENED ME TOLD ME TO NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN AND THAT HE COULD JERK THE TRAILER OUT FROM UNDERNEATH ME AT ANY TIME THAT MONEY MEANT NOTHING TO THEM !! AND I CALLED THE SHERIFF THEY TOLD HIM TO STAY OFF THE PROPERTY BUT HE HAS IGNORED THEM !! SO THE RENTAL PLACE FOUND ME ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE BUT IT’S GOING TO COST ALOT OF MONEY FOR ME TO MOVE…I FEEL SINCE THE OWNER COULD NOT CONTROL THE SON IN LAW OR WOULDNT HE SHOULD BE THE ONE TO PAY FOR MY MOVING COST AND CONNECTION FEES AND REIMBURST ME FOR THE UTILITIES THAT THE SON IN LAW RAN UP !! CAN i MAKE THEM PAY FOR ALL THIS ???

You should talk to the landlord about it. Also try going to your local authority about. Bring a proof or something for them to see. The other option is to file a complaint through RPA. If your going to ask me I would feel the same way pal.
