PROBLEM WITH POSSIBLE ILLEGAL SUBLEASE

By SHANNON PARKER

SO, MY LANDLORD ASKED IF HE COULD STAY IN MY PLACE WHILE I AM OUT OF TOWN FOR A COUPLE DAYS. I AGRRED. HE SAID HE WOULD STAY IN MY SPARE ROOM. I AGRRED. A COUPLE DAYS TURNED INTO A WEEK. NO PROBLEM. A WEEK LATER, HE WAS STILL THERE & SLEEPING IN MY BED (BIG PROBLEM). HE CALLED LATER THAT DAY TO SAY HE WAS ONLY GOING TO CHARGE ME 1/2 THE RENT FOR THE MONTH. OK, I AGREED, NO PROBLEM. GOT A CALL FROM MY BEST FRIEND, WHO CHECKS ON MY PLACE WHILE IM AWAY, SAID SHE FOUND MY APARTMENT UNLOCKED. NO BUENO. THEN TODAY, GOT A CALL FROM A FRIEND WHO STATES THAT FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS, SOME GUY I DONT EVEN KNOW HAS BEEN STAYING THERE FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS. THERE HAS GOT TO BE SOME LEGAL RECOURSE THAT I CAN TAKE TO USE AGAINST THIS MAN. I AM LIVID. I FEEL INVADED AND USED. PLEASE HELP.
