Problem with snow removal

By Nance

I have a lease in place which calls for the landlord to handle snow removal.  It has been a very severe weather pattern we are in, and are getting alot of snow and ice.  Last year (this is my second year here) snow removal was not an issue.  This year he does not consistenly remove the snow and ice from the driveway.  It is a shared driveway with the house next door, and per my landlord he handles the driveway only and not the other family.  The front of the house faces the driveway to in order to enter my front door you MUST use the driveway to access it.  Our last storm left severe snow and ice, and it is I slipped in the driveway.  The land lord was advised he needed to come and take care of the property but came late that night and only put down salt.  Said it was to much to do and it was the best he could do. He told me to wait till it melts! and of course to be careful

Can I break my lease since I am afraid of getting hurt again and I cant make him come and clean the property?  What do I need to do?

In the time it took you to write this out, you could have gotten our there and removed the snow yourself.
