proplem with landlord repair

we had to pay the rent 5 day’s later because this is the way my husband gets payed ,so we always going to be 3 to 5 day’s late.we have no air in this trailer and landlord told my husband he will fix it after the rent gets payed,he also told us if we late next month we would get evicted ,we not behind on the rent,so can he really do that?my husband needs air he has brething proplems
