Keys right to landlord

Does the landlord must have a key of the appartment.  i feel like i dont have any privacy where i live.  and the landlord gave me a dead line to give copies of keys if not she will change lock herself.  and i change it in the begining cus i saa her partner piking to see if my car was on the garage.. this tell me they wanted to come in without advising, since that they moments ago the went to check someting in the appartment..
