no rent protection

I live in an apartment complex where the offer rent protection in the event that you schould lose your job.well in october i recently got laid off.I spoke with an assistant in the leasing office and she quit before she filed the paperwork.I never even knew that she left until i got a 3 day notice to pay the rent on my door.They had to refile the paper work and till this day the rent still has not been fixed.
