rodent problem

i live in a duplex that has a major rat problem. the first day i layed out glue traps i caught 15 mice and i catch about 7 a day since then. i have informed my landoed about this issue and she stated that all she can do is buy me some sticky traps. only that isnt fixing the problem. i have had to replace my bed because the mice chewed through my box spring. i can only buy food that i can put into my fridge because the mice eat through my groceries as well. not to mention all the holes they are chewing through my clothes amd the clothes of my children. i have 3 small children and this is not a very healthy enviorment. so any advice that any one has for me i would greatly appreciate it.
