Being sued by Landlord

By Lorine

Not sure if anything can be done, but my husband wanted this rental, it was close to work and great area for our daughter, I signed the lease (dummy me) and he moved in. At the time my daughter and I were not living with him, so his brother and uncle moved in (short term). well my husband is now in prison, my 2 brother in laws and his uncle have moved out. they did not pay the last months rent…NOR did they inform myself or the landlord they were moving. Now I’m being sued.

3 rooms lost power in July, ComEd shut off power to the lower space (landlord’s hide away). He wanted us to put that meter/space in our name. No way!

My brother in laws worked on the house/apartment, not being paid for what they did, no reduced rent either.

I don’t know what to do…I’m at a loss!!!!
