can I break lease within 24 hrs

By kathi

We signed a lease and gave first plus deposit. Within 24 hours we changed our minds and decided not to rent it because it was too small. The landlord is saying she is keeping all the money – first month plus deposit- and charging me for everyday it is not rented. Is this legal? We broke it within 24 hours of signing and never even moved in!!!!! I understand keeping the deposit or something but all the money plus charging me for everyday its not rented is insane. It cannot be legal. Any help is appreciated

I signed a lease this morning and need to know if Kansas has 24 hour lease signing protection. More opportunities came about is the reasoning.
