Compounded Late Fees

By Steve

My landlord has been charging COMPOUNDED late fees. I’m wondering WHAT is the limit as to how much late fees he can charge. As a result we are never able to catch up. e’s let late fees accumulate as high as 2000 dollars dating back to 2007. NEVER telling us these fees are building up. We cannot get a straight answer from him at all. I’m asking ishe with in his rights or am I being shafted?

You might want to review the lease you signed on. We’ll if talking to him won’t get much of an answer. Try filing a complaint. Obviously he’s trying to avoid that to be honest. You have every right to ask for the details. File it through RPA.
