house got flood

By Nicka

My husband i I were renting apartment for 5 months ,our house got flood so we had to move out and insurance company paid for apartment rental but we put deposit down just for furniture rental 1500$ which should be given back when we move out from apartment. we left apartment clean and there was no damage on the furniture , we can't get our deposit back because menager of the bulding found a SPICES ( dry basil spiled inside of one cabinet) and the microwave was dirty from inside , we put deposit down in case if we damage furniture and we have witness who can prove that and we did not damage furniture we have pictures taken before and after what to do with this how can we get deposit back
