Landlord said he’d fix garage, needs demolishing

By Massgirl

We live in a duplex from the 1800’s and a detached garage is on the property. Landlord knew we needed 2 parking spaces and there is one behind house and one on street. In the winter we cannot park on street so have to park in unsafe garage. Landlord informed us in May he would be making repairs to garage and to clear our stuff out. We did so and he has made no action to repair or demolish said garage, which we found out was built across property lines. Do we have right to request he send a dumpster and removal crew?

Your landlord has the responsibility to do maintenance repairs on the rental unit and to make sure that the rental unit is in good living condition and safe. Since in your case your landlord took a lot of time to give you resolutions to your concern then I think it is time for you to file your complaint against your landlord.
